ON 52
8mm - Yugoslavia - M48 - M70

Yugoslavian version of the WWII era Soviet PU scope. Built by the Tovarna Opticnih Sredstev ("TOS") factory in Ljubljana, Slovenia, not much is known about these scopes. Presumably adopted in 1952, they are believed to have been built for the M48/52 sniper rifle project. The objective lens is modified giving 4x magnification in place of the original PU's 3.5x Most are presumably calibrated for 8mm, although variants have been seen in 7.62x39 with M70 pattern mounts.
